Food Fight! 8-year old girl targets Sasha, Malia

The argument in this article is hard because targeting politicians’ kids is not cool. But the point is valid. Children in ritzy well to do public or private schools get choices. The rest have unhealthy food that is slowly killing them (I’m passionate about the connection between what is put in food i.e. chemicals, excess sugar and preservatives and disease)

Barack Obama, for leadership: http://www.thetimes-tribune.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=19480144&BRD=2185&PAG=461&dept_id=418218&rfi=6
This article describes how Obama is the better choice for the Democratic nominee. One commenter argues that this article was written pre-Bitter. You be the judge…

On the Economy, 70% Disapprove of Bush: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/04/14/AR2008041402842.html?wpisrc=newsletter&wpisrc=newsletter

“Bitter-gate”: Where Do We Go From Here?: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/thefix/2008/04/bittergate_where_do_we_go_now.html?nav=rss_blog
This article looks to the various possibilities for the Post “Bitter-gate” era. My favorite is how the Pope can help Obama get out of “Bitter-gate” barely bruised.

If Sen. Clinton is Exhausted at 11pm, What Happens at 3am?: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/sleuth/2008/04/if_hillary_is_exhausted_at_11.html
This short blog shows how much Bill Clinton is not on the top of his game (my personal opinion).

Woe is He: http://www.tnr.com/environmentenergy/story.html?id=bf08a566-7c44-446a-aa34-7889b0f24b5a
This article discusses how “Bitter-gate” will affect Obama’s campaign in a negative way. “He was saying to these upscale San Francisco Democrats, “I am really one of you, and I am not one of them.” Read the article to get a better sense of the context of this article.

Some Perspective on ‘Bitter’: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/15/opinion/15herbert.html?_r=1&ref=opinion&oref=slogin
I have to say this opinion piece is the best short article on “Bitter-gate” I have read and I agree with the author’s advice which is at the end of the following quote: “In his San Francisco comments, Senator Obama fouled up when he linked frustration and bitterness over economic hard times with America’s romance with guns and embrace of religion. But, please, let’s get a grip. What we ought to be worked up about is the racism that still prevents some people from giving a candidate a fair chance because of his skin color…If I were advising him, I would tell him to confront the matter head-on, meeting as often as possible with skeptical, and even hostile, working people in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Let the questions rip, and answer them honestly.”

Obama’s Flaws Multiply: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB120821921853714665.html?mod=opinion_main_commentaries
This article brings up some merited concerns about having an Obama ticket for 08 and I like the fact that the author shows examples of Democrats tendency to run “rookie” candidates and the GOPs tendency to run people that have previously lost their primary battles.
