Author’s Note: So I have not posted anything in awhile but I have found myself reading so many articles that I thought it would be best to pick things back up again. As always even if I’m not posting I am reading. Check out what I’m reading via my Google page. Enjoy the post!

Ladies Roll Through Primaries in Arkansas, Nevada, and California
This article may be true in the 4-5 women they highlight here BUT don’t let that confuse you into thinking that the United States is making ANY significant progress when it comes to increasing the percentage of women in formal politics. The United States is tied at 69 with Turkmenistan according to the World Parliamentary Union’s Women in Parliament ranking.
No new Dawn for Women in Politics
Jennifer Lawless, Director of the Women & Politics Institute at American University, took the words right out of my previous comment. That’s what I get for having a weekly blog, lol. Learn more about why Tuesday’s “victory” for women is smaller than the media has made it seem.
Susannah, Non-Profit Director: Giving Young Women a Running Start
A great woman with a great organization. I am very proud to say that I volunteered with Running Start for a short time while I lived in the DC Metro area.
This article by Jaclyn Friedman makes several very important points about sexual violence and sexual stereotypes in her discussion of the Kendra Wilkinson “sex tape.” I think after race, sex is the other topic that the United States needs to talk about and clear the air.

5 Reasons Obama is the Same as Bush, Clinton
I am not surprised by this article okay I should say that I am surprised that people are surprised by Obama’s behavior. He wrote it in a book pretty much all of his political philosophies and what isn’t in the books is reflective of him being a Chicago politician.

In Sweden, Men Can Have it All
I have been searching for a place that will recycle non-sneaker shoes for awhile and I finally found one on my latest Google search to find ways to recycle things I am done with and cannot give to Goodwill. I am so excited about that that I plan on soliciting friends of mine to gather their old and too worn to give away shoes so that I can send a bigger box and also share with them the importance of recycling.
